Place of Clarity & NY Shamanic Circle PRESENTS:

Throat Singing Performance

and Ceremony

Nikolay Oorzhak (from Tuva, Siberia)

His First Appearance in NYC

Renowned Master of Khoomei/Overtone Throat Singing

Nikolay Oorzhak and his disciple Vladislav Matrenitsky present a unique heritage of South Siberian steppes and taiga – the Throat Singing Style (also known as Overtone Singing). Admirers of both ethnic and meditative music will get unforgettable impressions from a wide range of sounds, which seem unlikely to be produced by a man – from a bird’s warbles to a yak’s roar.

For centuries, Tuvan Shamans have used this technique for immersing into the altered states of consciousness, charging those who are present with energy and healing.
