Altai Trip 2008 June 21- July 11 |

This 19-day trip includes horse travel to the magical Belukha Mountain, trekking in the Belukha Area, visiting ancient ceremonial sites, cliffs etched with petroglyphs, and stone circles. While there we will have the opportunity to collect various medicinal and tea herbs. During the trip we are going to practice a unique combination of ancient practices to purify our energy and bring our body-mind-energy state to a new level. |

The cost of the trip is $2,500. You'll get a discount of $150 if you pre-register before March 15. The price includes lodging, food, horses, and other transportation during the trip. The trip starts in Barnaul, Russia. |

Trip Itinerary * Day 1: We arrive in Barnaul in the morning. This day we need to make a 10-hour bus ride to the village of Tungur. We’ll have lunch on the road in a diner with native cuisine. In Tungur we stay in a small private cozy hotel - fresh village food, Russian Banya (steam-Sauna). Day 2, 3: We stay in Tungur for 2 days, preparing to start the main trip. Tungur is located near the mighty Katun River, we’ll take small hiking trips in the area. Day 4, 5, 6 - Horse trip to Ak-kem valley near Belukha. On the way we camp near Kucherla Lake and take a mountain path - Karatyurek (Black Heart, 3,060 m).This will be your chance to become an experienced horse rider. At night we stay in a tent and cook our meals on a campfire. Day 7: We set up base camp in Ak-kem valley near Belukha. We’ll have a rest after the horse trip, and a Russian Banya. We stay in this area until day 15. Day 8: We’ll visit Yarla Valley and restore our health on a unique Healing Rock located in this valley. Day 9: A day hike to “Seven Lakes”. Those seven lakes represent 7 energy chakras. For those who are interested, we can dig up “Golden Root”an Altai herb with Ginseng-like qualities. Day 10: Day hike to “Spirit Lake”. Day 11: Rest, Banya, collecting medicinal herbs. Day 12, 13: Two-Day hike to Belukha Mountain. Day 14 - trip to Yarla healing stone and Violet rock. Day 15, 17 - Horse trip back to Tungur village. Day 17, 19 - Rest in Tungur and bus transfer to Barnaul. * itinerary could be changed according to the circumstances |
